Week 9

The Wind Will Return

Cycles and Repetition

This Week's Focus

Change is not a flaw in the system—it IS the system. The leaves will fall again. The wind will scatter them. And you will sweep again. This is faith, not failure.

"Repetition is not failure. It's the willingness to return that gives practice its meaning."

Seven Daily Practices

Monday: Notice What Cycles Back

Pay attention to what returns today: thoughts, tasks, patterns. These cycles aren't problems—they're the rhythm of life.

Time: Ongoing

Tuesday: Make Peace with Maintenance

Choose a maintenance task (dishes, laundry, email). Do it knowing it will need doing again. Find peace in that.

Time: 5-10 min

Wednesday: Watch the Breath Cycle

Sit and observe your breath. In, out. In, out. Each breath is new, yet the pattern repeats. Can you find comfort in cycles?

Time: 5 min

Thursday: Let Something Stay Undone

Resist the urge to complete something today. Let it be. Practice being okay with things cycling back.

Time: Ongoing

Friday: Do a Repeated Task Without Resentment

Choose something you do regularly. Do it today with full presence, no resentment about having to do it 'again.'

Time: 5-15 min

Saturday: Observe Natural Cycles

Notice natural cycles: sunrise/sunset, hunger/fullness, waking/sleeping. Everything returns. Everything cycles.

Time: Ongoing

Sunday: Integration & Reflection

Reflect: What cycles did you notice this week? Can you see repetition as part of the design, not a flaw?

Time: Self-paced
